Boardman police arrest 6 in drug-related charges


BOARDMAN — Township police made six drug-related arrests in separate incidents over the weekend.

Lavontae Knight, 19, of Youngstown, is charged with trafficking in heroin in a school zone, a second-degree felony, and trafficking in cocaine in a school zone, a third-degree felony. He also is charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing official business and resisting arrest, and was found to have an active felony failure to comply warrant.

The charges stem from an incident Friday in which Knight reportedly led police on a chase through the Southern Park Mall. Police reportedly found heroin, cocaine, a scale and $575 in cash on his person after they caught him.

Marcy Fisher, 45, of Youngstown, is charged with two counts of theft, and one count each of possession of criminal tools and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was arrested at the Southern Park Mall Friday after she allegedly stole items from multiple stores. Police reportedly found a crack pipe in her possession.

Bridgett Knight, 35, of Youngstown, was arrested during a traffic stop Saturday on a misdemeanor drug-paraphernalia possession charge and for felony drug abuse. She also reportedly had an active theft warrant out of Trumbull County.

The drug charges stem from the fact that police reportedly found cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the car.

The driver, Paul Hartman II, 33, of Youngstown, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of Struthers.

Dana Mastroianni, 33, of New Castle, Pa., faces misdemeanor charges of theft, possession of criminal tools, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments after she was arrested at Macy's, 7401 Market St., Saturday in a shoplifting incident.

Police reportedly found wire cutters, a spoon with burnt reside and a hypodermic needle in her possession.

Andre Hallman, 25, of Youngstown, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and felony drug abuse after he was arrested Sunday after police responded to a Hillman Way residence in reference to a gunshot.

Police reportedly found drugs and paraphernalia in Hallman's possession. The report does not indicate if police determined whether a firearm had been discharged, but police reportedly found ammunition there.

Jay Weston, 29, of New Middletown, is charged with misdemeanor possession of drug abuse instruments after police reportedly found a hypodermic needle on his person after they were called to a Mathews Road laundromat in reference to a suspicious person.

Suspects who face charges in the township are scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here Tuesday.
