Kolitsos to share ‘Memories’ at event

LIBERTY

Socrates Kolitsos, a leader in Youngstown’s Greek community, will present “Memories of a Lifetime” in a program at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kravitz Deli meeting room, 3135 Belmont Ave., for the William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society.

Admission is free to the public but an offering will be accepted to benefit the society.

Reservations are suggested, but walk-ins are welcome.

Kolitsos is a graduate of The Rayen School and Youngstown State University who pursued graduate studies at Kent State University. He has been the organizer for the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church’s Greek Fest for many years.

His career as a public servant includes being a member of the Youngstown Board of Education. He was instrumental in the success of the Community Development Agency, where he served as the assistant director.
