The Rev. Michael McHale officiated for the 12:30 p.m. May 16 wedding at Stambaugh Auditorium for Kristen R. Patterson and Dave Kolcun. A reception followed at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman.

The bride wore a strapless, ivory ball gown designed with a dropped waist, beaded bodice and semi-cathedral train.

Matron of honor was Mimi Kim-Vass. Bridesmaids were Elise Liga, Amy Kim-Carlson, Mallory Hlebovy, Kristen Catullo and the groom’s sisters, Kelli Kolcun and Kim Newton. The groom’s niece, Dreauana Almasi, was junior bridesmaid, and flower girls were Cassidy Carlson, Kylie Oles and the groom’s niece, Layla Newton. The attendants wore jade-colored dresses.

The groom’s brother, Ryan Kolcun, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Deryck Plumadore; Dan Masny; the groom’s cousins, Steve, Eric and Matt Schilling; and the groom’s brother-in-law, Matt Newton. Junior groomsman was Derek Almasi, nephew of the groom. Taylor Carlson was ring bearer.

The bride is a daughter of Richard and Martha Patterson of Boardman. Mr. Kolcun is the son of Jack Kolcun, also of Boardman, and the late Barbara Kolcun.

Mrs. Kolcun attended Choffin Career and Technical Center and Youngstown State University. She is a surgical technician at Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon, Pa.

Her husband earned a diploma in heating, ventilating and air conditioning from ETI Technical College. He works at Cintas Corp. in North Jackson.

After a wedding trip to Aruba, the Kolcuns live in Howland.
