Children host gathering for Holquists' 60th

NEW MIDDLETOWN

The 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Louis Holquist of New Middletown was celebrated Sept. 5 at Zion Lutheran Church, where the couple are members.

Hosting the event were the couple’s children, Debra Huelsman of Wellington, Ohio; Wanda Beraduce of New Middletown; and Robert Holquist of Harrisburg, Pa.

Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren complete the family.

The former Gail Ann Osborne and Mr. Holquist were married Sept. 10, 1955, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells in Youngstown.

She is a homemaker, and he retired in 1981 from U.S. Steel Ohio Works in Youngstown where he was a foreman.

Mr. Holquist also is a veteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.
