Smeyres-Haag engagement is announced

Announcing their engagement are Erika Smeyres of New Middletown and Austin Haag of North Lima.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Thomas and Michelle Smeyres of Massillon.

Mr. Haag is a son of George and Tammy Haag of North Lima.

Invitations will be extended for the couple’s wedding to take place at 1 p.m. Oct. 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance and for a reception to follow at the Salem Saxon Club.

Miss Smeyres graduated from Youngstown State University with an associate degree in dental hygiene and is employed as a dental hygienist at Refresh Dental in Poland.

Her fiance is a graduate of the paramedic program at Eastern Gateway Community College and is service manager at Welsh Motors in New Springfield.

He also is a volunteer firefighter and paramedic for Springfield Township.
