Trevena will get port authority position, exec director confirms
YOUNGSTOWN
Anthony Trevena will be officially hired to work for the Western Reserve Port Authority in the coming days and has started meeting people he will be working with, Port Authority Executive John Moliterno confirmed today.
Trevena was a finalist for executive director when the port authority board of directors selected Moliterno in June, and Trevena was also under consideration for another position with the authority, but the board made no decision regarding Trevina at the time.
Moliterno said he has authority to hire and fire without board approval and is working on a contract, job description and pay rate, but none of those things are finalized.
Trevena was chief of staff for John Boccieri when Boccieri was a member of Congress from 2008 to 2010. Boccieri, a member of the port authority board, is now a finalist to replace Ronald Gerberry as state representative.
