Offensive line coach Andy Moeller’s days with the Browns may be numbered.

A 911 call released by Berea police Tuesday was made by a woman who told a dispatcher she is Moeller’s fiancee and that he tried to strangle her and beat her up.

On Wednesday, Browns coach Mike Pettine indicated that Moeller will not be long for the team if convicted. As of Wednesday afternoon, Moeller had not been charged.

“On the Andy Moeller situation, everything about the incident is troubling,’’ Pettine said. “The allegations, all the information that’s available, it is disturbing.

“However, we’re not going to comment any further, it’s an ongoing investigation, there’s a process that we’ve established internally as to how we handle any conduct issue and we’re going to stick to it, so I’m not going to comment any further on that.

So why hasn’t he fired Moeller?

“We have an internal protocol,’’ he said. “We’re in the process of following it.’’

The woman said on the 911 call she was Moeller’s fiancee. She identified herself as “Sandy,” and was asked during the call if he had ever hurt her before.

“Yeah, I hate to say that but yeah, sure,’’ she said.

The woman said she repeatedly asked him to stop and that she’s grateful she got out of the house in time. She also said alcohol was involved but not drugs.

Moeller has been suspended indefinitely by the Browns pending the investigation.

He has a history of alcohol-related incidents, including a two-game suspension by the NFL in 2011 for drunk driving. He was placed on two years’ supervised probation and ordered to abstain from alcohol.

Pettine, who worked with Moeller in 2008 in Baltimore, hired him last year to coach the offensive line.

Berea prosecutor Jim Walters released a statement Tuesday saying that it would likely take a few days to decide if he will file assault charges against Moeller.
