The Jewish Community Relations Council will sponsor its 24th annual High Holiday Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. The food drive begins today and runs through Oct. 7. Donors are asked to fill a grocery bag and drop it off at a collection site.

Suggested items: Canned meat, fish and poultry; instant pancake mix and syrup; peanut butter; canned fruits and vegetables; cereal; rice; noodles; baby food and formula; snack foods; instant coffee; diapers and baby items; soap; toothbrushes; toothpaste; cleaning products and paper products.

Monetary donations: Make checks payable to Second Harvest Food Bank and mail checks to the JCRC office, 505 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, OH 44504-1314.
