Fitch Class of 1944 gathers for 71st reunion

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Austintown Fitch High School Class of 1944 had its 71st reunion Aug. 19 at Eat ’n Park in Austintown. The class began its freshman year in 1940 with 127 members and graduated with 47, as many of the men of the class were called to serve in WWII. Members of the class are now 89 years old. Attending the gathering were classmates, from left, Marjorie Brown Gessner, Mary Louise Bickerstaff, Hope Gettman Fairbanks, Betty Wehr Nobile and Doris Fee Bishop.
