St. Maron's plans Lebanese food fest
YOUNGSTOWN
St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, will host a Lebanese Food Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 4 in Antioch Hall.
The menu will include baked kibbe (ground beef, onions, bulgur and spices); lamb and chicken kabobs (seasoned and grilled skewered meat); grape leaves (ground beef and rice in grape leaves); spinach pie (seasoned spinach in baked dough); falafel wraps (chickpeas and spices blended and fried, served in pita wrap with vegetables); lubia (seasoned green beans and onions in tomato sauce); tabouli (bulgur, herbs and vegetables in lemon olive oil dressing); and hummus (dip of chickpeas with tahini, lemon and garlic).
