Presentation on earthquakes due to fracking is Wednesday night in Youngstown


YOUNGSTOWN — Dr. Ray Beiersdorfer of Youngstown State University's Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences will give a presentation on earthquake risks due to fracking and injection wells in Northeast Ohio at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the university's Cushwa Hall Room B100.

The presentation will include recently published data documenting more than 100 earthquakes at the Weathersfield/Niles injection well.

Ample free parking is available at the on-street metered-parking spaces along Lincoln Avenue and adjacent streets.
