What is offered

The HIV/AIDS Ministry of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown was started in 1992 by four nuns who began a prayer-support group.

Services: Overall, the ministry serves about 350 people annually. Guardian Angel Cafe takes place the third Saturday of the month and provides a meal, groceries, personal hygiene and household products and social time. The pediatric and adult clinic serves about 283 people annually. Since the ministry was founded in 2001, no pregnant woman has given birth to a child with the virus. There also is a support group, pastoral visitation and the children’s program.
