YOUNGSTOWN
A police spokesman said Monday a woman who was injured in an accident on a state Route 711 ramp Friday died over the weekend.
The spokesman said the woman’s name is not yet being released because the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office is trying to find her next of kin.
The woman was injured in an accident about 6 p.m. after an SUV she was driving flipped over several times on an entrance ramp for Interstate 680 north and she was ejected from the vehicle.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Crash injures one
WEST FARMINGTON
The Southington post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash about 12:45 p.m. Monday on Hoffman Norton Road.
Reports said Amanda Cole, 34, of Farmington, was driving north on Hoffman Norton Road when she went off the side of the road and flipped the vehicle over after hitting a ditch.
Cole was ejected and taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with serious injuries, the patrol said. A passenger, Jodi Bowen, 61, also of Farmington, was able to crawl out of the wreckage and was taken to St. Joseph Warren Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
A news release from the patrol said charges are pending.
