A man who was wanted for a May 8 beating that severely injured another man was arrested Sunday evening.

Police reports said Jerrell Miles, 26, was taken into custody just after 10 p.m. at the Mahoning County jail on Fifth Avenue. Reports did not say why Miles was at the jail or why he was wanted for so long.

Miles was arrested in connection with a fight May 8 on West Delason Avenue, where he is accused of fighting a man who was dating the mother of his child, first punching him then picking him up and slamming him head first into the street. The man began having seizures before the suspect ran away after flashing a gun.
