Youngstown man nabbed on cocaine charges after traffic stop

YOUNGSTOWN

Police arrested Jerome W. Brown, 64, of Youngstown on chargesof possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia Saturday night.

Brown was the front-seat passenger in a vehicle that failed to activate its turn signal when pulling into a gas station on McGuffey Road at about 11:39 p.m. When Brown exited the vehicle, officials noticed a crack pipe sticking out of a pouch that was hanging from a key chain connected to his pants. Police found loose crack cocaine in a brown paper towel in Brown’s pocket. He was transported to Mahoning County jail pending a court appearance Tuesday.
