The Association of Fundraising Professionals Mahoning Shenango Chapter will present a luncheon program, “Meet the Funders,” at Tippecanoe Country Club, 5870 Tippecanoe Road, Canfield, on Thursday.
Fundraising professionals will meet funders and foundation representatives from the region. Registration and networking begins at 11 a.m., lunch will be served at 11:30 and the program will begin at noon.
AFP member cost is $15 and $25 for not-yet members. The cost for full-time students is $10. Those interested in attending may register online at www.afpmash.org/home/program_registration.
Community Day Expo

Southern Park Mall will host a Community Day Expo for nonprofit groups to recruit new volunteers and promote upcoming events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 18.
Participating organizations include Hospice of the Valley, Life Skills High School of Youngstown, Mahoning County CASA/GAL Program, Mahoning County Veterans Service Commission, Recycling Division of Mahoning County, The Rich Center for Autism and YWCA of Youngstown. Podiatry offices grow

Austintown Podiatry Associates announced the expansion of its offices. Drs. Lawrence and Catherine Karlock, John Faluto, Joseph Arters and Darleen Abadco are among the first groups in the area to offer digital X-ray imaging, which can pick up subtle fractures and bony abnormalities much earlier than traditional X-ray. They have late-night and Saturday hours as needed.

Prevent foreclosure

The Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership and The Ohio State University Extension offer a free foreclosure prevention workshop at The Raymond John Wean Foundation, 147 W. Market St., at 6 p.m. Sept. 17.
The one-time program is targeted toward community members and leaders, and not for those facing foreclosure. The program will cover the reason and process of foreclosure.

Human resources event scheduled
NILES
The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host a human resources session at the Residence Inn, 5555 Youngstown Warren Road, from 7:15 to 9 a.m. Sept. 24.
The session will discuss civil-rights laws to raise awareness of the ability to identify and resolve potential issues and highlight important emerging issues in employment discrimination.
