Leetonia Public Library friends will meet

Friends of the Leetonia Community Public Library will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the library, 181 Walnut St.

The friends are seeking volunteers for its Sept. 13 book sale during the Leetonia Artisans Festival. They will sell raffle tickets for two crocheted afghans during the sale.

Plans also are being finalized for the group’s Mystery Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 24; the fundraising event will feature the play “The Daunting Diamond Thievery at the Old Doom Mansion.”

Those who cannot attend the meeting but wish to assist in the planning of the mystery dinner are asked to call 330-427-6635 or to stop in the library.
