A summary of recent criminal activity in Boardman Township:

Aug. 28

Assault: A Prestwick Drive man told police two men threw a cup of water on him, struck the accuser’s chest and tossed him to the ground. The men were walking in the street with four other people.

Drugs: A traffic stop near Market Street resulted in the arrest of 31-year-old Melissa S. Mills of Benton Road, Salem, on a charge of possession of drug-abuse instruments. Mills, who also was wanted on three counts of failure to appear in court, had a used syringe in her purse, police said.

Counterfeit: After having listed on Craigslist furniture he intended to sell, a Glenwood Avenue man reported he received a $1,270 check that turned out to be phony. The amount of the check far exceeded his asking price.

Criminal mischief: Soup cans, pasta sauce and eggs were thrown at a residence in the 20 block of Melbourne Avenue.

Employee theft: Symantha N. Manda, 24, of North Cedar Avenue, Niles, faced a felony-theft charge after a co-worker at PetSmart, 1101 Doral Drive, alleged Manda admitted having intentionally made false returns and keeping an undisclosed amount of money.

Felonious assault: A vehicle check on Market Street led to the arrest of 18-year-old Troy C. Adkins Jr. of East Boston Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of felonious assault and receiving stolen property when, authorities alleged, Adkins was in a Ford Taurus that had been reported stolen in Youngstown. Also, in an effort to flee, Adkins accelerated and struck a cruiser’s front bumper, a report showed.

Harassment: A Shields Road woman said she’s received a few months’ worth of hang-up calls.

Identity fraud: A Glenwood Avenue man reported getting bills totaling $1,200 from two businesses for services he had never authorized.

Vandalism: Someone intentionally cut a brake line in a van that belongs to Joe Bertin Carpet & Upholstery Inc., 7495 California Ave.

Identity fraud: An elderly Dover Road woman told police her bank informed her that someone without authorization had opened a home-equity line of credit in her name.

Drugs: Officers on Brookwood Road pulled over and charged Alexis E. Bonamase, 26, of Wolcott Drive, Boardman, with one misdemeanor drug-possession count after alleging she had 10 pills in a cigarette pack that turned out to be Alprazolam, commonly used to treat anxiety and panic disorders.

Identity fraud: A Locust Avenue woman told authorities a caller claiming to represent the Internal Revenue Service said she owes $3,987 in back taxes for 2008 to 2013, and tricked her into providing her date of birth and Social Security number.

Theft: A man reportedly returned two iPhones for a $1,714 refund at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive, but did so fraudulently.

Theft: A cellphone card was missing from a vehicle in the 5900 block of Parkland Avenue.

Aug. 29

Animal cruelty: While conducting a welfare check at an apartment in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue, police discovered in the residence a cat and six kittens without food or water.

Theft: Jennie M. Stano, 38, of Austin Avenue, Warren, was charged with stealing $310 worth of children’s clothing from Sears in Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Four knives, three bottles of medication and $22 were missing from a car in the 200 block of Oakley Avenue.

Theft: A cellphone card was removed from a vehicle in the 300 block of Cranberry Run Drive.

Recovered property: A 2008 Chevrolet Equinox vehicle was found after a Parkland Avenue man had reported it stolen.

Theft: A leaf blower and a weed trimmer were stolen from a yard in the 4000 block of Shelby Road.

Theft: A Struthers man alleged his former girlfriend, of Bonnie Place, had pawned his 60-inch flat-screen TV.

Fraud: A Lost Tree Drive woman told officers she was notified that she would receive a $773 income-tax refund from the IRS before finding out a few months later that the money had been deposited in another account.

Theft: Miscellaneous coins and two credit cards were removed from a vehicle in the 600 block of Plymouth Drive.

Theft: William G. Hogan, 30, of Hunter Avenue, Youngstown, was charged in a July 29 shoplifting situation at Walmart.

Aug. 30

Breaking and entering: Someone cut a side-window screen, entered Christ’s Church, 7155 Glenwood Ave., and took a children’s Bible and two bottles containing an undisclosed sum of money.

Theft: Alealeyah S. Dothard, 26, of Plazaview Court, Youngstown, was taken into custody on Market Street. She was accused of stealing $120 worth of jewelry and cosmetics July 12 from Walmart.

Aug. 31

Arrest: While responding to a two-car accident on U.S. Route 224, authorities charged 56-year-old Jeffrey I. Zoldan of Melrose Avenue, Boardman, with operating a vehicle impaired.

Aggravated menacing: A woman reported having gotten online threats as she tried to retrieve personal property at an Erskine Avenue home.

Possible theft: A Salem man reported his iPhone lost or stolen while at an Applewood Boulevard restaurant.

Burglary: Police at the Mahoning County jail arrested 24-year-old Marquise L. Hall on a burglary charge. The Akron man was accused of breaking into a Hopkins Road residence July 23 and taking several pairs of shoes and other items.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 6600 block of Market Street was found with a damaged tire.

Aggravated menacing: A Larkridge Avenue woman told police her former husband called and threatened to do bodily harm to and kill another man.

Felonious assault: Thomas P. Ferrara, 44, faced a felonious-assault charge after a Mathews Road woman alleged Ferrara, of Huntington Drive, Boardman, had struck her face, choked the accuser and twisted her right hand.

Harassment: A Tam-o-Shanter Drive woman said she’s received such Facebook messages.

Domestic violence: Daniel T. Davila, 60, of Huntington Circle, Boardman, was charged with the crime after his daughter alleged that while in a vehicle and during an argument, Davila had pinned her against the driver’s seat in an effort to remove a key from the ignition, then slammed a door, striking her left hip area.

Theft: Ashley N. Roy of Burgettstown, Pa., was charged with stealing $52 worth of clothing from Walmart. The 21-year-old Roy also was wanted on a felony-theft warrant.

Sept. 1

Arrest: Authorities at Southern Park Mall took 21-year-old Trey D. Chatman of West LaClede Avenue, Youngstown, into custody on a charge of public indecency, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, after a mall employee alleged Chatman had exposed himself to her last month.

Theft: A man stole $40 worth of merchandise from Family Dollar, 4028 South Ave.

Burglary: To an apartment in the 4000 block of South Schenley Avenue via a front window. A purse was removed from a couch.

Theft: Kristen A. Hoffman, 23, of Mauro Circle, Niles, was charged in the theft of three pairs of gym shorts and a shirt from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Kenneth A. Porter, 64, of West LaClede Avenue, Youngstown, was charged after four pieces of Cleveland Browns attire were taken from Marc’s, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.

Domestic violence: Authorities booked 49-year-old Kevin Runkle of South Avenue, Youngstown, after his wife alleged that while driving on Western Reserve Road, Runkle had tossed a cup of hot coffee on her during an argument.

Theft: Kristen A. Hoffman, 23, of Mauro Circle, Niles, was picked up on warrants charging two counts of theft and one of identity theft after a family member alleged Hoffman had used the accuser’s identity when Hoffman was arrested June 8 on a theft charge at Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Deception: A pharmacist for Walgreen Pharmacy, 7295 Market St., reported having gotten a fraudulent prescription for Oxycodone, often used to treat moderate to severe pain.

Burglary: Took place in the 4000 block of South Schenley Avenue through a front window. A wallet, a library book, $20 and other items were missing.

Arrest: Police responded to a person passed out in a vehicle near West Boulevard, where they charged 26-year-old Travis J. Kneen with operating a vehicle impaired. Kneen, of Greenmont Drive, Canfield, had a 0.182 blood-alcohol count, more than twice the legal limit, a report said.

Sept. 2

Robbery: A store official with Family Dollar, 4028 South Ave., reported a woman stole merchandise, pushed the accuser and fled in a dark-blue Chevrolet Cavalier.

Theft by deception: A man who works for a Boardman-Poland Road business alleged a former employee took out two loans totaling $800 before being terminated.

Menacing: A worker for a Crossroads Drive business told police her former boyfriend came to her place of employment and made a threat.

Sept. 3

Theft/criminal damaging: A South Schenley Avenue man told officers his landlord tossed to the curb and damaged some of his property. The man also reported two TVs, a baby stroller and two DVD players stolen.
