New genealogical service at library

SALEM

Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., will offer a genealogical search assistance service, “Family Tree Stumped,” each Wednesday starting Sept. 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the library’s Ohio Room.

Hands-on help with genealogical research will be provided by library volunteers at no cost. Patrons can take their own device or work at a public computer.

Visit the Adult Services Desk, talk with a library staff member or call the library at 330-332-0042 for information about the service.

YPD now accepting orders for T-shirts

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Police Department has begun its annual sale of T-shirts to benefit the YSU Pink Ribbon Classic. All proceeds will be presented at the classic in October.

All orders must be in by Sept. 22 with the correct payment, name, correct sizes and phone numbers. Only cash, checks or money orders will be accepted.
