TEDx lineup revealed

The TEDxYoungstown planning committee released its speaker lineup for next year.

The full-day event once again will feature regional and national experts spanning many topics. Since June, the TEDxYoungstown planning committee has been working to finalize the location and theme for the 2016 event, seeking sponsors and preparing to sell tickets.

“We are very excited for the 2016 lineup of speakers. We have a very diverse group of topics and people traveling in from all over the country. It should be a great event that builds on the quality built by previous-year speakers,” said Lori Shandor, curator for TEDxYoungtown.

There are 15 speakers, from a variety of backgrounds as listed in the following: music, disabilities, heroin addiction, photography, community organizing, health care, Christianity, illustration and animation, bodybuilding, art and literature, neuroscience, craft breweries and refugee issues.

Tickets, priced at $75, will go on sale at www.tedxyoungstown.com Nov. 1.

The third TEDxYoungstown will take place Jan. 22, 2016.
