The Boardman library hosted the All You Can Read Buffet on Aug. 14. Children were invited to come to the library and either pick out books or bring books of their own to challenge themselves and read for four straight hours.
Many brought blankets and pillows to get comfortable while they carried out their challenge.
The librarians provided a variety of snacks and food items ranging from pizza and pepperoni rolls to chips and cookies.
Librarian Allison Graf participated, as well as headed this event.
“This is just such a fun program,” Graf said.
Graf said she enjoyed seeing the students challenge themselves at the library – in a fun way.
“It’s reading and eating,” Graf said. “Kids come prepared to read for four hours and see if they have what it takes to be able to do it.”
Students were welcomed to come and go as they pleased throughout the course of the four hours.
The library had 20 students sign up to participate and each year the event grows more popular.
