Route 11 fatality

CORTLAND

One person was killed in a vehicle/pedestrian accident Wednesday night at the intersection of state Route 11 and Route 305.

The Ohio Highway State Patrol said the accident was reported at 9:08 p.m. and investigators were still at the scene at 11 p.m.

Details about the accident, including the person killed and others involved, were not available. The Route 11 exit ramp at Route 305 was closed to traffic.

Meeting today

LOWELLVILLE

Lowellville Village Council will have a special meeting at 5:45 p.m. today at city hall, 140 E. Liberty St.. Council will consider legislation in support of a bike trail grant and review projects and grant applications. A safety committee meeting will follow.
