Cole Frank scored three goals and Brandon Youngs two for the Raiders. Landon Baer, Reese Babuder and Lucas Beabout also scored. Frank made two assists while Mark Vennetti, Baer, Michael Kuhns, Youngs, Beabout and Mitch McConnell each had one. Goalkeepers Brant Rothbauer and Luke Schaefer combined for five saves. For the Bulldogs, Josh Fristik scored on an assist by Marshall Huddleston.

EAST FAIRFIELD

Mitch Lindsay scored three goals while Matt Seabolt and Josh Batchelor netted two apiece for the Rebels (3-1-1). Riley Mackall and Scott Murray scored the other goals. Batchelor made four assists while Seabolt, Mackall, Clayton Elliott, Jacob Wickline and TJ Carr each made one. Goalkeeper Scott Murray made seven saves for his third shutout.

Christian Reil scored two goals while Noah Yocum, Tyler Hoolihan and Nolan Yartz each had one. For the Warriors, Jerod Parke scored and Spencer Toro made 22 saves.

GIRLS SOCCER

Boardman 1, Howland 0

HOWLAND

Cara Higgins scored the only goal with 33 minutes to play in the second half as the Spartans (3-1) beat the Tigers. Camille Holzschuh had eight saves for Boardman. Kamran Buckley had four saves for Howland.

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Casey Lindstrom had three goals and two assists for the Raiders (3-2). Makenzie Ferenchak, Caragyn Yanek and Rachel Maynard added goals. Maynard also had two assists. Kameron Hobbs and Hope Thomas also had assists. Devon Asher scored the goal for the Tigers.

Newton Falls 7, Jefferson 0

JEFFERSON

Tara Backherm scored three goals and teammates Sara Rinehart, Makenna Woolyard and Breonna Frederick added goals as the Tigers (2-2) blanked the Falcons (1-2). Woolyard, Hannah Harnicher and Tori Blandine had assists. Newton Falls goalkeeper Kaitin Conway had a save and Jefferson’s Jenna Parkomaki had stopped 13 shots.

Lauren Dolak scored five goals and made an assist for the Falcons (4-1). Also scoring were Kaelyn Puhalla, Jackie Muccio, Jordan Evans, Ashley Amendol and Camryn Constance. Puhalla made four assists. Tiffany Aliberti, Maia Totterdale, Muccio and Amendoleach had an assist. For the Raiders, Riley Brown and Katie Statema scored. JV: Fitch, 2-0.

Rachel Braunegg and Reagan Rosenberger each scored two goals for Lakeview. Mara Wilson and Sam Yanci also scored. Yanci made two assists while Rosenberger, Haylee Mathews and Braunegg each made one. Miranda Meffe made five saves. For Poland, Rachel Pugh made eight saves. JV: Poland, 3-0.

Marissa Grande scored four goals for the Eagles (3-2, 1-2 AAC). Taylor Chuey scored two goals while Taylor Mesmer and Maria Atsas each had one. Mesmer and Emma Wukelich each made two assists while goalkeeper Lea Munnel made four saves. For Edgewood (1-3), Janessa Stell scored and Julianna Kalinsky made 10 saves.

For the Rebels (1-2), Brooke Harper made nine kills and 16 digs, Mckenzie Daub had 10 kills and Sierra Rance made 29 digs.

The Tigers moved to 6-0 with a sweep of the Irish. Olivia Hedge led Newton Falls with 23points (five aces) and Kate Wainwright had 19 points and 37 assists. Autumn Hutson added 14 digs, Kayla Barreca 15 kills and Gabby Kline 13 kills and three blocks. The Irish were led by Julianna Kratzer, who had 18 digs and five points. Bethany Rios had 11 assists and Leah Skowron had five kills and five points. JV: Newton Falls, 2-0.
