Car shoppers looking for great deals in the coming weeks are strongly urged to consider 2015 model-year vehicles that are scheduled to be redesigned or refreshed for the 2016 model- year, according to a new advisory from car-shopping destination Edmunds.com. Low gas prices for holiday weekend
GAITHERSBURG, Md.
This weekend will have the cheapest Labor Day prices at the pump in over a decade, leading to a savings of $1.4 billion over the four-day period, according to GasBuddy.com.
GasBuddy currently identifies as many as 19 states where at least one retail outlet already is selling gas below $2, while South Carolina is the lone state to see an average under that level at about $1.99 per gallon. Nationally, gas prices stand some 21 cents below where they were just a month ago.
This weekend, GasBuddy analysts predict nearly 70 percent of the nation’s gas stations to be priced at under $2.50 per gallon.
