Tracy Drake said he no longer will be the chief executive officer of the Columbiana Port Authority.
“The port board of directors has informed me that they do not intend to offer a new contract for next year,” he said in a written statement. “Therefore, my last official day on the job will be Sept. 30, 2015.”
Drake said he took pride in branding Columbiana County as a transportation nexus and as a community that knows how to do business on a state and national basis.
Drake is in discussions with several public- and private-sector entities. He and his wife, Dr. Pamela Drake, are relocating to Sarasota, Fla., where she will join an established private psychiatric practice. He plans to start a consulting firm.
“It is my expression that a significant amount of my time may well continue to be spent in Ohio,” he said.
