Military band alumni concert
WARREN
The Warren Junior Military Band Alumni Association will have its first alumni band concert Sept. 12 at 3:30 p.m. at the Warren Community Amphitheatre. All former WJMB alumni are invited to attend and/or participate; sign up at wjmbalumni.org.
This event is in conjunction with the Warren History Hop, sponsored by the Warren Fine Arts Council. The WJMB is known for its rousing military style of music and marching.
Before and after the concert, guests can stop at the Kinsman House and take a tour showcasing the history and memorabilia of the WJMB and the history of the Dana School of Music.
On Sept. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m., the WJMB Alumni Band will play at the Gala at the Kinsman House.
Improv acting workshop at JCC
YOUNGSTOWN
Liz Rubino Studios is offering a workshop on improvisational acting for ages 10-21 on Sept. 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane. Cost is $45 ($35 for JCC members).
This master class will help participants think outside the box, maximize imaginative skills and work in a collaborative environment and as a group in theater games and scenes.
