Marshals nab man in heroin death case
YOUNGSTOWN
U.S. Marshals arrested a man Tuesday secretly indicted almost two weeks ago by a Mahoning County grand jury for supplying the drugs used in the death of a man who died from a heroin overdose earlier this year.
Marquis Huffman, 22, is in the Mahoning County jail on charges of involuntary manslaughter, possession of heroin, trafficking of heroin and possession of heroin.
Assistant Prosecutor Martin Desmond said it took awhile to take Huffman in because he gave investigators the name and Social Security number of his brother and Huffman was originally indicted under his brother’s name. He said police were finally able to figure out his real identity.
He is expected to be arraigned Tuesday in common pleas court.
