Inaugural golf event to support Boy Scouts

Station Square and Cafe 422 have teamed up to host an inaugural charity golf event to help support the Boy Scouts of America. The event, a four-person scramble, will take place Sept. 14 at Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St.
Registration will be from 8 to 9:45 a.m., and tee off will be at 10. Refreshments will be served at 3 p.m., and the awards, dinner and auction will take place at 3:30.
Event fees are $100 per player or $400 per team and include 18-holes of golf, cart, lunch and dinner. There will be prizes for the putting challenge, longest drive, closest to the pin, chip’n challenge and hole-in-one shootout at hole No. 10.
Company sponsorships available are team and tee sponsor, $600; foursome, $400; hole/tee sponsor, $250; one-half tee sponsor, $150; cart sponsor, $150; and cannot attend, will sponsor a scout for a year, $150.
