TODAY
Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road (Route 224), Poland, will serve cavatelli dinners from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner includes homemade sauce, two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter and dessert for $9 per person. A smaller portion with one meatball will cost $5. Homemade pasta fagioli also will be sold for $6 per quart and homemade pasta sauce for $5 per quart. All items are takeout only. Place your order, remain in your car and your dinner will be delivered to you.
THURSDAY
Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will serve homemade dinners to go from 3:30 p.m. until the drive-through runs out. The meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will cost $6. Drive to the front of the church to pick up your order. There’s no need to preorder or get out of the car.
FRIDAY
Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.
SUNDAY
St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will serve a breakfast brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children. The buffet comprises french toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple or blueberry syrup, scrambled eggs, plain or with peppers, onions and cheese, home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk.
TUESDAY
Columbiana First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St., will have a drive-through ham dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The meal includes red-skin parsley potatoes, green beans, applesauce and a brownie. A $7 donation is requested.
TAKING ORDERS
Saxon Culture Group is taking orders for 3- and 5-pound packages of large-link sausage in mild, hot and Saxon-recipe garlic flavors and 5-pound packages of bulk in all flavors. The cost is $3.50 per pound. Phone orders will be taken at 330-718-0496 through Sept. 8. Orders should be picked up from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. At that time, customers also are welcome to enjoy German music, beer and a sausage sandwich.

Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, Youngstown, will have a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 19. Takeout will be available. The menu includes mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad, homemade dessert and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children; those under 5 eat for free.
Christ the Good Shepherd Parish will have a stuffed cabbage dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 at St. John the Baptist Church Hall, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Takeout orders are available. Tickets can be purchased from parishioners or call 330-755-1979.
Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will resume selling potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi on Sept. 18. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.
Trinity Lutheran Church, 78 E. Liberty St., Girard, will host an all-you-can-eat Amish dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 12. Dinners are $15 for adults and $5 for children 5 to 12; those 4 and under eat for free. For tickets call 330-545-6210 or 330-766-2927.
