Boil alert issued to all Hubbard residents following water main break

HUBBARD

The city of Hubbard has issued a boil alert to all residents following a water main break today near North Main Street. Residents should boil water for at least one minute and then allow it to cool before drinking it or using it for cooking or personal hygiene, officials said. The boil alert will be in effect for at least 24 hours as a precautionary measure while the city performs tests to make sure the water is safe, Mayor John Darko said. There have been no road closures following the break, Darko said.
