Threat shuts down Warren schools
WARREN
The Warren City Schools are dismissing students and staff early because of what Superintendent Steve Chiaro is calling an unspecified threat.
The schools began letting out just after 11:30 a.m. after the school resource officer notified the superintendent about the threat.
Dismissal by bus began with Harding High School, followed by Lincoln, Jefferson and Willard.
Parents who wish to pick up their children must present a photo ID, according to 21-WFMJ TV, The Vindicator's broadcast partner..
Chiaro says that the threat was phoned into the Warren Police Department, and was not directed toward any particular building.
