The state Controlling Board released more than $243,000 Monday for renovations at the Youngstown Job and Family Services office.
The project will include a roof replacement, parking-lot repairs, masonry improvements and lighting upgrades plus the replacement of a break room.
Jim Santini Builder Inc. of Washingtonville is handling the work, with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission overseeing the process.
In other business Monday, the lawmaker panel released nearly $210,000 for air-conditioning improvements at the Ohio State Penitentiary. The funds will go to Akron-based K Co. Inc. to install new hot and cold water pumps, replacing existing units that are about 17 years old, according to documents.
Additionally, the Controlling Board approved $61,311 for an electrical upgrade at the Youngstown Readiness Center.
