Two men were arraigned Wednesday in Warren Municipal Court after being arrested on charges accusing them of separate Oct. 18 felonious assaults.

Kevin L. Streeter, 26, of North Street Northwest is being held in the Trumbull County Jail without eligibility to make bond after a not-guilty plea was entered for him.

He’s charged in the 5 p.m. Oct. 18 felonious assault of a man under the Main Avenue Southwest bridge.

The man, 42, of South Market Street in Girard and the Christy House homeless shelter on Main Avenue, said he was relaxing under the bridge before dinner when an unidentified man approached him. The victim said he woke up on the ground bleeding from the head and saw that his money, phone and prescription pills were missing.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitives Task Force arrested Streeter at 5:13 p.m. Tuesday as he walked near 140 E. Market St.

Streeter has been booked into the county jail 28 times on various charges since May 2007.

In the other case, Khiry J. Taylor, 23, of Idylwild Street Northeast, is being held in the county jail without eligibility to make bond after a not-guilty plea was entered for him in the Oct. 18 shooting of a man on Idylwild Street Northeast.

Police were called to Idylwild at 11 a.m. on a report of a man, 38, of Idylwild laying in the driveway with gunshot wounds to his legs. The victim said the shooter ran into the backyard after the shooting.

The victim was taken to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Taylor on Wesley Avenue in Youngstown. After knocking at the door and getting no answer, officers broke open the door and found Taylor in a bedroom about 5 p.m.

Streeter and Taylor both face the potential for eight years in prison if convicted.
