YOUNGSTOWN

The third suspect in the wounding of a man last week on the East Side was arrested Wednesday while his brother was arraigned in municipal court in the same shooting.

Maurice Christian, 28, was booked into the Mahoning County jail Wednesday on a charge of felonious assault in the shooting Friday that left DeAngelo Christian, no relation, with wounds to the stomach, leg and buttocks.

Arraigned in municipal court on a charge of felonious assault was Terrian Christian, 26. He also is not related to the victim. He turned himself into police Monday at his mother’s home in the 500 block of Summer Street. Visiting Judge Barbara Watson set his bond at $50,000.

Arrested a couple of hours after the shooting and arraigned Monday on a charge of felonious assault was Andrea Perry, 25, who is the sister of Maurice and Terrian Christian. Her bond was set at $25,000, which she has not yet posted.

Police said the Christian brothers shot DeAngelo Christian about 3:20 p.m. at an apartment in the 1400 block of Woodcrest Avenue during an argument over a Facebook post.

Detectives would not reveal the contents of the post but said it involved two women, and DeAngelo Christian was defending one of the women, who is his cousin. Police said Perry ordered her brothers to shoot DeAngelo Christian because of the argument. He was shot in front of the apartment and taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center to be treated for his wounds. Police said he is expected to recover.

Maurice Christian is expected to be arraigned in municipal court Friday, unless the case is directly presented today to a Mahoning County grand jury.
