Man gets 6 years for shooting at home

YOUNGSTOWN — One of three men indicted for shooting at a Clay Street home June 3 was sentenced today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to six years in prison.

Kalib Butler, 19, of North Evanston Avenue, was sentenced by Judge R. Scott Krichbaum after pleading guilty earlier to seven counts of felonious assault because there were seven people in the house and a single count of discharging a firearm at or into a habitation.

One person was slightly injured.

Police said the shooting stemmed from an argument in a parking lot at Plazaview Court the week before and a woman who was still angry rounded up Butler and two others to extract revenge for her.
