YOUNGSTOWN
Carrie Underwood will come to the Covelli Centre on March 17. Tickets are $43 and $73 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at the Covelli box office, ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets and by phone at 800-745-3000.
Underwood just released her latest album, “Storyteller,” (review below), and will mount a major tour in 2016 that also includes Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on Feb. 17 and Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland on May 18. Opening acts are Easton Corbin and the Swon Brothers.
Underwood’s previous and only appearance at the Covelli in 2013 was a sell-out two days after tickets went on sale.
“Storyteller” is the seven-time Grammy winner’s fifth studio album and is the impetus for a 40-city North American tour that will begin Jan. 30 in Jacksonville, Fla.
Dubbed “The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round,” the tour will be Underwood’s first in the round. With the stage in the middle of the arena floor, the 360-degree setting will allow fans on all sides of the arena to get a more intimate and unique concert experience.
Fans who buy Underwood’s new album through her online store, carrieunderwood.fm, will receive a code for early access to tour tickets.
