New assisted living facility to serve Poland, Struthers, Campbell, Lowellville, western Pa.
POLAND
This time next year, the township will have a new 89-unit assisted-living center off U.S. Route 224 just east of Clingan Road.
Briarfield Assisted Living broke ground Tuesday on a 6.5-acre parcel that will open next year as The Inn at Poland Way, a 76,000-square-foot facility with 64 assisted-living apartments and a 25-unit wing dedicated to residents with memory disorders.
The project cost is roughly $12 million. The Western Reserve Port Authority earlier this year agreed to provide capital-lease financing for the project.
“Briarfield Healthcare’s intent is to design and build senior living facilities that meet a need,” Edward Reese, CEO of EDM Management Inc., which manages Briarfield Health Care Centers, said in a release.
“Studies show that The Inn at Poland Way will do just that. With 64 assisted-living units and 25 memory care beds under one roof, the facility will provide full-service amenities in a safe environment that promotes aging in a place for the seniors of Poland, as well as Struthers, Campbell, Lowellville and western Pennsylvania,” he said.
