UPDATE | Multiple agencies on scene for accident on I-680

BOARDMAN — First responders from several local agencies now are on the scene of a multivehicle accident on Interstate 680 between U.S. Route 224 and Western Reserve Road that has resulted in “significant” injuries, according to township fire department officials.

The scene now is being cleared so a medical helicopter can land to transport injured parties to a hospital.

The accident involved multiple cars and a motorcycle, fire department sources said.

No other information was immediately available.
