The Mahoning Valley Young Professionals is accepting applications for its board. The deadline to apply is Nov. 6.

Chamber schedules OSHA seminar

The Youngstown/ Warren Regional Chamber will have an informational session about the Occupational Safety and Health Administration from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 4. at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St.

Atty. Seth Briskin, Partner at Meyers, Roman, Friedberg & Lewis, will present what you should know about OSHA. Topics include regulatory changes, frequently cited standards, how fines and citations are handled, increased OSHA inspections, confined space standards and specific industry changes. Showcase at Signature HealthCARE facility

Signature HealthCARE, 2473 North Road NE, recently showcased $3 million in renovations at its ribbon-cutting and open house. Among the upgrades are a new rehabilitation therapy gym for short-stay patients, a community room, chapel, bistro and an “elder-run” general store.

Louisville, Ky.-based Signature Healthcare assumed operations of the Warren care center more than a year ago.

RVHP acquisition

EAST LIVERPOOL

River Valley Health Partners and Prime Healthcare Foundation signed a definitive agreement for the acquisition of RVHP.

The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016, pending regulatory review and closing conditions.

RVHP is an Ohio nonprofit corporation comprised of the City Hospital Association, doing business as East Liverpool City Hospital, a 152-bed, acute-care hospital. Prime Healthcare Services is a national hospital system with 38 acute-care hospitals providing more than 35,000 jobs in 11 states.

HR discussion

CANFIELD

The Youngstown/ Warren Regional Chamber from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Nov. 10 will have an HR Hot Topics discussion at the Courtyard by Marriott, 4173 Westford Place. Russell Rendall, of Ogletree Deakins, will discuss various human-resource topics.

This session has been approved for 1 credit hour toward the PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification.
