ENERGY

Laura Tubo has been named Youngstown manager of external affairs for Ohio Edison, a First Energy company. Tubo replaces David Turner, who has been appointed the company’s external affairs manager for the Cleveland and Toledo areas.

A graduate of Stow High School with a bachelor’s degree in business management from Kent State University, Tubo will be responsible for the electric utility’s media and community relations activities in Youngstown. She previously was a First Energy claims manager.

MEDICAL

Dr. James LaPolla Jr., podiatrist and owner of Northeast Ohio Foot, Ankle & Wound Center Inc. in Howland and Brookfield, was recently appointed to the National Advisory Board of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. LaPolla is an accredited physician with Valeant and a member of the Valeant speakers’ bureau.

HEATING

Robert Eno has been named the new general manager of the West Middlesex, Pa., branch of McCrudden Heating Supply. Eno has been with the company for the past three years in sales. In his new position, he will be responsible for the daily operations of the branch and will continue to pursue sales.
