Family dinner celebrates DeChicco 60th

A family dinner Aug. 6 honored Mr. and Mrs. Philip Patrick DeChicco of Canfield on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary. The gathering took place at the home of the couple’s daughter, Christine DeChicco of Columbus, and also was hosted by the couple’s other children, Michael (Jane) DeChicco of Delaware, Ohio; Robert (Pam) DeChicco of Westlake, Ohio; and Mari Lappin of Carmel, Ind.

The family circle includes five grandchildren, Nichole (Steve) Kuklica of Gahanna, Ohio; Matthew DeChicco of Westlake; Michelle (Noah) Mabry of Columbus; and Grace Lappin and Jack Lappin, both of Carmel.

The former Dorothy June Vinarsky and Mr. DeChicco were married Aug. 6, 1955, in St. Rose Church in Girard.

Mrs. DeChicco was a paraprofessional with Austintown Board of Education and retired in 1981.

She is a member of Mahoning Garden Club and F.O.C.U.S. Breast Cancer Support Group.

Her husband was a mechanic at Sears in the Southern Park Mall in Boardman, where he worked for 38 years and retired in 1994.

They are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown.
