Women United hosts Night of Blues in Nov.

YOUNGSTOWN

Women United will host a Night of Blues at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at the B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave.

Tickets are $75 per person or $600 for a table of eight.

Hors d’oeuvres and an open bar will be available from 7 to 10 p.m., and there will be a cash bar after 10. There also will be live music and a chance to win jewelry from Komara Jewelers.

Historical Society to offer programs

LIBERTY

The William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society will present programs in the meeting room of Kravitz Deli, 3135 Belmont Ave. The events are free and open to the public, and free refreshments will be served.

A goodwill offering will be accepted.

The society will offer a 50-50 raffle.

A Memories of a Lifetime program will be offered at 10 a.m. Nov. 21 with speaker Attorney Mark Hanni.

He will present recollections of his childhood on Youngstown’s East side, his family’s role in local politics, notable people he has met, and the history of downtown Youngstown and the steel valley.

Youngstown State University professor emeritus Regina Rees will speak at 10 a.m. Dec. 19 in a Front Porch Storytellers program. Rees will share ancient Christmas stories.

Goldwing Road Rider Association, Chapter M Ohio, will meet today at Yankee Kitchen, 6635 Market St.

Dinner will take place at 5 p.m., and the meeting follows at 6.
