Brittany McFall and Kaelyn Puhalla scored for Fitch (13-4-1) with Puhalla scoring twice. Puhalla also assisted McFall’s goal. Travis scored once for Glen Oak. Fitch outshot Glen Oak 7-2, and had seven corner kicks while Glen Oaks had five. Soriya Rezapourian had one save for Fitch, and Rollins had four for Glen Oaks. Fitch advances to District Semi-Final against Massillon Jacon on Tuesaday at 7 p.m.

NILES
Southeast’s goalkeeper Elizabeth Angel had 22 saves for the Pirates(12-6). For the Red Dragons, Bethany Rasile and Hannah Ward each scored two goals, with assists by Ward, Mackenzie Johnston, Jaycee Ward, and Rasile. Goalkeeper Vada Flannery had one save for Niles (13-2-2).
Howland 3 Poland 2
HOWLAND
Howland (8-6-3) was out to an early lead with a goal by Napier Ramsey in the first half. In the second half, Sara Ciletti scored another goal for the Tigers, but Poland (6-10-2) struck back with two goals scored by Jessica Miller. At the end of regulation, the game was tied 2-2, but Kaitlyn Chambers scored the game winning goal for Howland, with an assist from Kendyl Buckley. Howland goalkeeper Kamryn Buckley had seven saves, and Poland goalkeeper Rachel Pugh had five saves on the night.

Crestview 3 Springfield 1
CRESTVIEW
Crestview will move on to the sectional semifinals after beating Springfield, 3-1. Jillian Beard scored two goals, both of which were assisted by Kassie Seabolt. Seabolt got the Rebels’ third goal off a corner kick. Goalie Donna Finch made 12 saves in the victory. Crestview will play United at United on Monday at 7 p.m. No stats were available for Springfield.
St. Thomas 1 Ursuline 0
YOUNGSTOWN
Rachel Adams’ lone goal was enough to push St. Thomas past Ursuline. Winning goalie Victoria Wilson made six saves while Jordyn Kenneally had two for Ursuline. St. Thomas moves on to play Canton Central Catholic.
Newton Falls 2 Garfield 1
GARFIELD
Makenna Willyard and Tara Backhams scored for Newton Falls (11-5-2), with Willyard also contributing an assist. Samantha Kostrove scored for Garfield with an assist from Brianna Royston. Newton Falls outshot Garfield 19-3 and had six cornerkicks to Garfield’s one. Goalkeeper Taylor Brown had 10 saves for Garfield, and Caitlin Conway did not have any for Newton Falls. Newton Falls will advance to District Semi-Finals against Champion on Monday at 7 p.m.

The home-court advantage wasn’t enough for Lake as the tournament hosts lost to Boardman after five games. Kaylin Burkey had 14 kills, nine points and five aces, while Courtney Platt had 39 assists and 27 digs for the victorious Spartans. Emily Birk had 12 kills for Lake. Boardman will face Jackson in the next round on Tuesday.

Top-seed St. John advances to play No. 4 seed Mathews on Monday after sweeping Warren JFK. For JFK, MacKayla Kroll led with six kills, three blocks and 18 digs and Rachel Cullison added 9 assists. No stats for St. John were provided.

COLUMBIANA
For Rootstown, Briana Ryan had 23 points, 21 assists, and 13 digs. Abby Moore tacked on 24 kills and six blocks, and Collete Frank had three aces. Kiki Perry had 17 kills and eight blocks for Wellsville (16-8), and Regan Pierson had 37 assists. Johnna Stokes also had four assists, five kills, and three aces to help lead the Tigers to a victory. Wellsville will play Tuesday (10/27) against St. Thomas Aquinas.
