The fifth annual Youngstown Zombie Crawl will take place from 11 a.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday at the B&O Station and Banquet Hall, 530 Mahoning Ave., downtown.

To accommodate the increasing numbers of families that attend each year, more activities have been scheduled during the morning and afternoon.

Child-friendly places that will welcome Zombie Crawlers between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. are OH WOW! Children’s Center, One Hot Cookie, Suzie’s Dogs and Drafts, Oakhill Cemetery Tours and all activities at the B&O Station.

Registration is $4 and will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Participants will be able to use the shuttle bus that will loop through all stops on the crawl between noon and midnight. The Rich Center for autism research will benefit from the fees.

Participating bars are Suzie’s Dogs and Drafts, Rust Belt Tap House, B&O Station and Banquet Hall, O’Donold’s Downtown, MVR, Liquid Blu, Downtown Draught House, Roberto’s Ristorante, Ryes Whiskey Bar, The Fifth Floor, Joe Maxx Coffee, The Federal, V2, One Hot Cookie, Imbibe and The Royal Oaks.

After the Zombie Crawl is complete, the first 500 participants will receive a limited edition collectible Youngstown Zombie Crawl pub glass at Suzie’s Dogs and Drafts.

The schedule is as follows:

11 a.m. to 8 p.m.: Registration ($4). Zombie makeup artists will enhance participants for a donation.

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Pumpkin painting for kids.

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Sidewalk chalk contest, hosted by Victorian Players Theater.

Noon to 3 p.m.: Chili cook-off, hosted by the Rich Center.

1:30 to 3 p.m.: Oak Hill Cemetery tours, free, given by the Mahoning Valley Historical Society.

6 p.m.: Thrill the World dancers. This group will take part in a simultaneous global dance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and then lead the zombie march across the Spring Commons Bridge into downtown. Thrill the World flash mobs also will dance at undisclosed locations downtown until 9 p.m.

6:15 p.m.: Zombie Crawl begins with zombie march to downtown.
