BOARDMAN

Township police handled a slew of theft-related cases over the weekend, resulting in seven arrests on charges such as theft and receiving stolen property.

Police received several theft-from-auto reports, including two reported Sunday by Stratmore Avenue residents. In both cases, vehicles reportedly were left unlocked; electronic devices were stolen from two vehicles.

Several cases of shoplifting also were reported between Friday and Sunday, resulting in the following arrests for misdemeanor theft in separate incidents: Sean Hilbert, 24, of Canfield; She’lae Bailey, 18, of Youngstown; Michael Snovak, 26, of Poland; Lisa Altman, 43, of Jaguar Drive; and Lance Hundley, 46, of Youngstown, who also is charged with felony drug possession.

Police reportedly found marijuana and pills on Hundley when he was arrested for purportedly making a fraudulent return at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Snovak’s charge stems from the allegation that he stole money from his employer, Dunkin’ Donuts at 7635 Market St.

In one reported shoplifting incident, someone reportedly got away with $1,800 worth of merchandise from Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road.

Police on Saturday arrested Charles Boss, 33, of Youngstown on a Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear; the original charge, out of Boardman, is theft.

Boss also was cited for failure to transfer plates and license forfeiture suspension.

Also arrested on a warrant is Kevin Cartwright, 28, of Carter Circle.

He is charged with felony receiving stolen property related to a September burglary at an Old Oxford Lane home.

Police also are investigating a reported burglary at a Southern Boulevard apartment; $1,800 in electronics reportedly were missing from the home.

In other crime news over the weekend, township police arrested four people on impaired-driving charges.

Charged with operating a vehicle while impaired are: Pamela Zitello, 30, of Mathews Road, who police reportedly found passed out in a car in her driveway early Friday; Mathew Kamoda, 28, of Austintown, who registered a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.185, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08; Brendon O’Rourke, 24, of Youngstown; and Amanda Link, 26, of Shields Road, who purportedly struck a car on Orlo Lane that was parked in a driveway.
