Reputed Cleveland gang member gets life sentence in killing

CLEVELAND

A 21-year-old reputed gang member convicted in a man’s fatal shooting at a Cleveland convenience store last year has been sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility after 36 years.

Robert George was sentenced Thursday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty’s statement says George was a Cutthroats gang member convicted last week on charges including aggravated murder, murder, attempted aggravated murder, felonious assault and a weapons count.
