BREAKING NEWS | 4 feared trapped after collapse of scaffolding in Houston

HOUSTON (AP) — Emergency personnel are searching for survivors after scaffolding collapsed at a seven-story building under construction in downtown Houston.

Houston Fire Department spokesman Kenyatta Parker said at least four workers are trapped in the wreckage late this morning. Dozens of responders are searching through the massive pile of debris and twisted metal.

At least two workers have been rescued from the rubble and were wheeled away on stretchers. Authorities have provided no information on their conditions. Another person was treated at the site of the collapse.

The residential complex under construction is close to Minute Maid Park, home of baseball's Houston Astros.
