New coalition seeks community involvement in city schools reformation

A new coalition has formed to get the community involved in the reformation of the Youngstown City Schools.

Tracey Winbush, a former school board member, is one of the members of Youngstown Educational Solutions, introduced this morning at a downtown news conference.

Its goal is to get people involved under the state-legislated CEO plan for the schools so that improvement efforts are community driven. Winbush called it a grass roots effort and said steps may include visiting neighborhoods for input.
