The Warren City Health District, 418 Main Ave. SW, is offering childhood immunization clinics in October, November and December. The dates and times are: Nov. 2 and 16, 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m.; Dec. 7, 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. A special clinic day will be Oct. 28 from 8 a.m. to noon. The Oct. 18 children’s immunization clinic is canceled and will be rescheduled.
The clinics are walk-in. No appointment is needed. The day of the clinic, the child should be well and free of fever, rash or illness. An updated shot record is required. There is a $10 fee and Medicaid cards are accepted. For information, call Cheryl Strother at 330-841-2596.
Healthy U program

The Mahoning County District Board of Health, 50 Westchester Dr., is sponsoring the Healthy U, Chronic Disease Self-Management Program from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays beginning Oct. 19 and concluding Nov. 23.
The program, developed by Stanford University School of Medicine, is offered to anyone who lives with a chronic illness or lifelong condition, such as diabetes, asthma, arthritis, heart disease or hypertension. The interaction aims to empower class participants for self-management of their health and maintain active and full lives.

‘Now You Know’

October’s “Now You Know” program, “Adult Children of Alcoholics: Lives Altered by Others,” presented by Meridian HealthCare and the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, is at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Library’s Poland Branch, 311 S. Main St., Poland. Jerry Carter, former executive director of the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, is the speaker.

A Women in Touch Fall 2015 program to improve a sense of well-being through artistic self-expression is offered by Cathy Manus-Gray, art therapist at Stewart’s Caring Place, Cancer Wellness Center and One Mindful Art Studio in Cuyahoga Falls.
Women in Touch, funded by Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley, is 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Ave., Boardman, and Oct. 27 at Leo’s Ristorante, 7042 E. Market St., Warren. Diabetes Expo 2015

Learn about diabetes medicines during Diabetes Expo 2015 from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St., Girard. The cost is $12 per person and includes lunch.
