Diocese officials to attend November convention

CLEVELAND
“Weaving God’s Gifts Into the World’s Future” is the theme of the 27th Biennial Ohio Catholic Education Association Convention scheduled for Nov. 12 and Nov. 13 at the Cleveland Convention Center.
The convention gathers Catholic school and parish administrators, teachers and catechists from Ohio and neighboring states for an opportunity for growth and formation, and is sponsored by the Catholic Conference of Ohio.
The Diocese of Youngstown will be represented by Bishop Rev. George V. Murry, Diocesan staff, Catholic school administrators and teachers and parish catechetical and other pastoral leaders and Catechists.
Special features of the OCEA Convention are Mass with the bishops of the participating dioceses, keynotes Todd Whitaker, author and national presenter on teacher and principal effectiveness and Ralph Martin, leader of renewal movements in the Catholic Church. A one-day “Bridges Out of Poverty” seminar and a one day young adult Catholic school teachers retreat, 154 breakout sessions and a large exhibit hall are additional highlights.
